I read, in addition to getting a kayak to Animal Crossing Bells name themthat when a villager asks you to move out, instantly close the game and avoid them with the rest of the day. The following day the next villager will request to leave, rinse and repeat until the one that you want to depart asks to depart.
This is true. You do not even have to talk to the individual with the bubble. When it's that the"move out" bubble, it is going to select a random villager every day. It can be the same villager or a villager that is"within" (so that you don't see the bubble), but it'll still be a randomly selected villager, and all them are eligible (technically there is a couple exceptions associated with house birthdays and moving ).
The move-out bubble itself is on a cooldown that's two weeks since you've had a move-out dialog, so if you've got the dialogue (no matter what you tell the villager to do) it resets. But if you ignore it, it'll hop around every day.
Would you need to force one to move out or simply reject an older person's move out petition? I'm like 99% sure that I received my latest villager to move out after, but I believe maybe 2-3 villagers requested to move out (but I advised them to not ) until she did. I came back in January after not playing because around this time last year and was extremely disappointed buy the lack of items added, and especially the lack of"new to the series" things added. The ocean upgrade was cool, the art upgrade was nice but the absence of QoL updates is what killed the game for Buy Nook Miles Ticket me. Fishing Bait still merely being able to be made one at a time.
